Anyone use a Chamois to dry their car
I have been using a shammy to dry my black T/A. I notice no one mentions using these, only microfiber towels. Am I the only one using this thing. I usually follow that up with a microfiber towel. I use the shammy to get the majority of the water off the car. Is there a negative reason others don't use one?

I use the absorber chamois. It holds up just fine and gets mostly all the water. They're like $10 at kragen, autozone, advanced auto, pepboys, etc. As long as you keep them clean and free of debris and rocks, they won't hurt your car at all. Usually I'll follow up with microfiber as well. I'm pretty sure a lot of people use these or the water blades to remove water, then follow up with a microfiber towel.

I used to use a chamois. They're high maintenance compared to other materials (absorber, MF) because they can easily rot, where-as I can neglect an absorber/MF for days until I get a chance to wash them. Synthetics are the way to go!
The only organic product I'll put up with is a lambskin mitt. Their durability vs a MF/chenille mitt is garbage, but nothing is as soft as it!

Nah...I always seem to get lazy after the wash and I want to head straight for the wax so I take it to the nearest stretch of road and give 'er hell. The highway works wonders for drying a car !

I got lazy and bought a water blade, I use it followed up with an old towel and a wax job.
I tried the leaf blower once too and also felt pretty stupid doing it, felt like the neighbors were looking out their windows pointing and laughing so I never did it again. Worked good though.
