Default Pacesetters and ORY completed :)

A buddy and I got everything together today in 5 hrs, 1.5 of which were spent going into town to get the Ypipe flanged (it absolutely would not fit onto the headers) and splicing the 02 wires. The power difference is greatly noticable and the sound is great with the Hooker Aero. With the cutout uncapped it is the most ungodly loud thing I've ever heard, it can not be uncapped other than the track, its just too loud. The use of my buddy's lift was awesome. My hat is off to anyone who did this with jackstands.. ..you are a champion. Can't wait to get to the track with some Nittos

That's about how long it took me too but I also had a lift...made it MUCH easier. A few years back I did LT's on an LT1 w/ jackstands...that sucked! Mine is crazy loud w/ the cutout open. Wait until you get a cam, it's much louder

I can't even imagine a cam with the cutout open. My friend who help me do the install has a 402 in his 2000 SS with a huge *** cam and is running it through Magnaflow I believe. It is rediculously loud through the muffler so I have no idea what open headers would be like on there.

Yeah mine's through a magnaflow also and it's still pretty loud w/ the cutout shut granted I don't have a 402. However it's night and day comparing open vs. closed.

yah I wish I woulda had a lift...I did this last weekend, I just had 2 jackstands and I got the front of the car in air as high as I could and I did it in 3 days, about 4-5 hours a day, it was a huge PIA but after doing it once I dont think it would take so long the second time around, pacesetter makes a great product

The Pacestters do rock. I installed mine, with my wife, first time, in about 7-8 hours. On jackstands. The front of the car was so high that the exhaust tips had about 1/2 inch before they hit the ground. I would do it all over again. Its a good time.
