Default slp thermostat questions

im installng a 160 degree thermostat from slp tommorowand i was jus curious, will i see any performance differences from runnng a cooler engine? Also, do i need to reset anything after i install, cause i have heard some guys install and the engine still runs up to the 210ish mark? If i do need to reset something, how would i go about doing this? thnx

the theremostat wont make your engine run cooler on its own, you hafto lower your fan temps also. and you lower the fan temps with a handheld tuner or something like hp tuners. i dont think you'll notice anything,i did but i also installed a ewp so the gains were most likely from it and not the thermostat. . and with your thermostat untuned, all it will do really is take longer for your car to warm upto operation temps.
