Would the '93 - '02 F-Body guys be interested in Weld Wheels that fit?
Please post in this poll if you would like to see Weld Racing manufacture a Draglite or Pro Star that had the correct backspacing for our cars... For example, assume something like a 15x9.5 with the correct backspacing to fit in the wheelwells without grinding. I was talking to their marketing director, Gregory Smith, who indicated that they have been discussing this internally for a while. Thanks to Dave and a few other users who have been talking to Gregory. Also assume that any offering was designed to be affordable. I am not sure that they will do anything, but Gregory indicated that they have a different center section they might be able to use.
Please also post if you are a Corvette or GTO guy interested in drag wheels.

Yeah, some prostars would be great! I've been looking for some big and skinnies to bolt up and those wheels look awesome. Like the Bogarts well enough but they are a little pricey.

Didn't they already attempt this with their discontinued Weld XP line? The bad thing was that those XP wheels were heavier than factory 16" f-body wheels. We used to call them an appearance mod, since there was no gain in performance.
BTW, the 10" with the 7.5 backspacing is just fine, the problem is that the design of the inner wheel diameter areas doesn't fit our brakes properly. Has nothing to do with backspacing or offset really.

Hi Tony. Gregory realizes that the XP's flopped because they were as heavy as stock.
He said they have a different inner part they might be able to adapt.
Frankly I am not sure they will do anything, since it sounds like it would all fall on him to convince management.

PSJ, I got the data together for Gregory, so that he could convince the powers to be that it was a viable endeavor. As I recall there were over a million Camaros, Trans Ams and Vettes in my numbers. I did not include the GTO's. Hopefully by SEMA time. Prostars.
