Default bike racks on 2002 formula

Hello,
I am trying to find a way to carry bikes on my 02 firebird. Trunk mount racks dont work, and obviously a roof rack wont work. So ive narrowed it down to getting a hitch (which I really dont want to do) and getting a hitch mounted rack. has anyone does this before? will it be too low and scrape on everything? I am also worried about the tires being in line of the exhaust and getting melted.

The correct solution is actually to get a pos civic with a bike rack.

That wasn't his question....let's keep this on topic since I'm sure there are more members that would like to know the outcome.

Myyyyy Bad, I just happen to think that is the best solution. It pains me to see musclecars with: hitches, bike racks, roof racks, etc.

You may want to look around a bit, cause with some easy mods to the unit you buy, you can basically take it on and off when you want it in just a couple of minutes

I dunno ,,,kinda like the Harley rider that towes his skooter on a trailer,,,,cool, but nothing like the guy that rides his **** at any time, any wheather,,,dedicated,,,some of us mod, some of us drive.

Kinda cool when u see someone in a TA, that u and i would normally say"WTF, get the rite ride,,but maybe they do,,,Seen a 80 year old man cruisin in a mid 80's vert,,,,smokin a stog of all things,,made me thibk,,yeah,,i'll be crusin in theat kinda style myself ,,,when most are worring about their geritol,,

Kudo's to you and wanting to keep the bird flyin,,,even if your biking too!
