im not going to say its an ugly car. aint sexy either but if it were rear wheel drive and had a v8, i'd drive it. i think it looks a little classy. but thats just me. chevy needs a bold design change to spice up thier market.

Ain't no way in hell that's the new (read REAL new) Impala. Look at the greenhouse - identical to the current model. That's just a revised front and rear job. Same windows, doors and handles, same rear window. Why? Who knows. maybe another re-hash to hold us over? Perhaps they are going to do something like Ford did with the 500 and Fusion. Though I don't see the need for that with the Malibu out there. Perhaps it's simply a test platform for a new engine. Perhaps it's just out there to create confusion such as this.

Here's a question - why is there so much wheel gap up front and so little in the rear?

Maybe they are testing it as a hybrid with batteries in the back.

There's no way that's the Zeta Impala.

My guess is an MCE on the current car, looks just like a 2006 from the side.

Actually I think you may have hit it with that idea. That would make perfect sense. Either a Hybrid Impala, or a dedicated nameplate built off the Impala as a hybrid. I'm subscribing to this idea for now. It's the only explanation that works based on what we know.

I am hearing its the new Malibu. We shall see. There was also talk that Impala would stay FWD, and Bel Air would go on Zeta. I haven't heard as much along that line recently though.
