Is this one of the "free mods" that is harmful?

I was thinking of doing it. I don't have it, so I'm not speaking from experience, but the risks don't seem worth the reward. You'll hear people go back and forth on forums, but i heard much more bad than good. It's nothing that you'll feel any difference from, most likely. Best case, you get a few horses. Worst case-you run lean and could lose power. Want a free mod, do Free Ram Air. Instructions are at installuniversity.com. Just my .02

do a search and you will get mixed opinions/insight. Mine's descreened, never had any problems. Also, i am spraying a dry 125 shot and the majority of Nitrous guys on here recommend descreening.

Mine was descreened when I got the car, but havent had any problems since, so I figure "shits not broke dont fix it"

Descreened here also no problem.
Hell to 02 Z06 came from the factory without a screen :)

descreened but the maf came with a used set of TR ends. I wouldn't risk damaging it otherwise, it's an expensive piece.
