Suspension & Brakes - Can you really tell a performance difference with the Eradispeeds over stock?

I know they look awesome and all, however, I have no shudder with the stock brakes. Will you get better stopping performance and less fade? Who's got the best price going?

I know they have the same swept area, but there is absolutely no question about it, my Erads (all around) stop better than stock. They're much smoother and they're extremely quiet.
Maybe it's the vents, maybe it's the holes, I don't know, but I feel a very noticable difference.

You won't be disappointed.

Make sure we are comparing apples to apples ...

Which pads are you using to gain this increase in performance with less swept are (the holes and slots reduce the contact patch)?

If it's the same pads, then I would question the calibration on your SOTP meter.

Let me further say, that NEW ES with NEW pads will out perform warped and worn OEM rotors and pads. But that has nothing to do with ES performance characteristics ...

There is physics and then there is wishfull thinking ...

IMO, the shudder will eventually plague you, too, sooner or later. If you are looking to buy Eradispeeds, I'll second the motion. I love mine but do they stop my car any better than the OEM ones, I don't think so. It just stops a LOT smoother! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

One of the best mods I ever did!

i have warped two sets of stock rotors(warranty replaced). my rims are always torqued by hand, no impact wrench, will ERADs stop this from happening? I don't autocross but do drive at 120+ mph often.

When I put my parts list together for my car I planned on getting the best of everything, that included the best brakes that money could buy. In talking to reps for Brembo, Wilwood, Baer and Mov'it, they ALL told me that these Erads will probably do a little better than the stock GM rotors simply because of who makes them, BAER. And that they will simply build a better, higher quality product. I think we all know that GM rotors are complete GARBAGE.

They ALL also talked me out of buying there expensive equipment because I told them that my car will be a street car only. They said braking is 100% dependant on TIRES. They said a set of Brembo's will not stop me any better than stock rotors because the braking limitation is in the tires on my car. Now if i put a set of "R" compound tires, warmed up on the car with a set of Brembos I could put my passenger through the windshield and not lock the tires at all.

This information is why I didn't spend $5,000 on a set of top-o-the-line brakes, it would have been a complete waste of cash for the street.

Just what I've learned from the best.
