Default looking for a bike

well i am going to be driving a hell of a lot at the school im going to be going to and need something better on gas mileage so im looking for a bike (if you have a buell firebolt that you want to sell im your guy) i really dont want to but i am considering selling my TA so i can get one cause once i finish school ill have plenty of money to get another one and do all the stuff i am trying to do to it right now. i have a good amount saved up that i was planning on starting a P&P heads / cam setup with but i will prolly use it for the bike instead so i dont necesarily have to sell it and dont really want to but if i have to i will ..... reason im posting here is so that the texas guys will see it and hopefully i find one here cause its a lot closer and i wont have to worry about getting something shipped

i wouldn't sell it - once you get a bike..the money that you'll be saving in gas, will add up quick!

good luck.

what size are you looking for?

i would be very interested in this how much does he want and what size was it the 900 or the 1200. i talked with the bank earlier and they said they would be able to finance a good amount depending on the year and model of the bike and they said that the buell is one they could work with me on. so you can pm me a price and we can see where it goes from there.thanks
Greg
P.S. where exactly is that

Its in the Houston area. ^

My friend has a 99 Kawasaki Zx-6E that he would sell. Probably around the $3,000-$3,500. If interested give him a call, 281-451-3714, its in the Houston area also.

yeah i dont really want to sell it but if i have to i might do it, ive put so much work in my car (A4 to M6 conversion that i did myself, rebuilding my motor and pretty much all maintenance it needs) that it would kill me to let it go its just that i know there are some things more important than the car at this time, mainly being finishing school

im not really looking for 1000cc bikes (insurance) i will consider the 600cc, thats the main reason i was looking at the buell firebolts ..... 900cc 2 cylinder better on insurance, may not be as fast as the jap bikes but im not really looking for real fast looking for something that wont kill me on insurance and will get good gas mileage, the jap bikes would prolly get better gas mileage but i think the insurance would more than make up for it but im not sure yet have to check on it maybe a 600 rocket wont be to bad but well see

im hoping i can find a bike on ebay (we have purchased a car and 2 bikes off ebay without problems and we know what to look for) or here that will let me keep my car and use it for weekends or when its raining, i enjoy riding a lot my dad used to race motorcycles and we used to go out and ride together out in the country all the time when i had my old bike, so i would like to have another one anyway, im just trying to do it keeping my car, well see how it goes

Well let me tell you this, the buell is a 1200. BUT I have about 6 months riding experience, and I love the bike. Its got great power down low, this bike in my opinon is the best way to go if you wanted a buell. I am not you, so I can't tell you which way to go. Goodluck on the bike situation, but be careful. PM me for more details on the bike.

the sv650 is prolly one of the best all around bikes you could get.. very easy to ride, and very fun.

don't know if you're still looking for a bike or if you saw my ad, but I'm in Greenville, TX, not too awful far away from Longview.
