Default F&$* master cylinder

Ok so it only took me 4 hours to change the master cylinder on my 99 ss and that was using a lift. I just could not get the u bolt lined up correctly. Finally i reached both hands around it left arm going underneath the brake booster, right arm between the brake booster and fender next to firewall. So my question is, can you unbolt the brake booster and just take it off? Will it be easier this way? By the way I already searched and could not find information of anyone doing it this way.

And one more little question. When you bleed the clutch does it actually drain down through a hole in the bottom of the tranny eventually?

You can remove the booster. But I'd just force the U bolt back it, they just are a bitch.
The fluid will drain thru the hole in the bellhousing.

I feel your pain. I just did the drill mod while I have the trans out. After 30min of trying to put it back, I was like F**? the drill mod, this s**t ani't worth it. Finally got it back in once I had someone on the inside to tell me where to go. What a pita tho.
