Default 95 db limit

I'm doing a special for GM high tech performance at raceway park in NJ tomorrow and I need to know if my car is going to make it past the decible limit. They have a 95 db max there (not exactly positive how it's measured, but i'd assume just like every other track)

I have LT headers, ORY, and a borla. Will I be ok?

Every 6 dB, the volume DOUBLES. You're probably golden. If they raise any hell, which they won't, put a plate in your borla. If they have any kind of respectable drag cars there, they are going to be a ****-load louder than your LSx would be running straight headers.

Is this a drag strip?

yes it's a drag strip, but during the week they have noise limits for the surrounding housing developments.

GM high tech performance rented the track out for the day and invited 10 cars in total there.. so i'd be pretty pissed if I got booted and missed out all those runs

Thanks guys.

Its 90 db and its measured 100 ft away and you rev the motor to redline. They take the highest reading. You will be ok with the borla, just might have to run the borla with a plate though. Not open.

Well I came back from the event. The techs there told me if it wasn't a closed circuit day (only 10 cars there, Lambo, Ferrari, LS7 Z06, ford GT, and 6 Trans Ams) I probably would have been kicked out

(funny list of attendee's eh?)
