Default Blending the hood with the bumper on a WS6

I was think about getting some clay and messing around with that spot where the vertical portion from the bumper meets the ram air hood to see how it would look if that transition was made a bit smoother. What I'm wondering is, suppose I do this and I'm happy with the results, what options do you see to make a piece that would fit there? Ideally I would like to make something that could simply be afixed there to avoid costly bodywork. Carving a piece out of vinyl or something like that. Ideas?

I'm not sure I understand where youre talking about. Could you circle the area on a pic and post it?

I think he's talking about the two inlets on the bumper that are just below the two scoops on the hood. I believe he's thinking about filling the two inlets into one piece. Is that correct?

He has a WS6, so in that case air flow should not be a problem. Someone should photoshop a WS6 hood on that pic.

I'm on a filtered connection so I can't see the pictures above. Here are some pictures I edited real quick to show what I'm talking about.

You can always put a pontiac emblem from an 04-06 GTO there. I have seen t hat and it fills that gap up a little more.

I'm looking into options as far as badges are concerned. To me, this has a been a styling flaw that has bugged me since the 98 Trans Am was released. I still like the car but I think the hood should blend better with the bumper. Oh well, I still love my WS6!

Thats one reason Ive always loved the raptor hood, that is if you dont have issues with getting it to fit right. Ive seen alot that look really great but the few ive seen that didnt fit right, just looked horrible. You probably arent looking into a new hood though, but those emblems from the GTO IMO look sic on the front of the car.

Yes, I agree. Had I not totalled my 2000 non-WS6 TA a hood change might have been made. I'm leary to make any drastic changes to a WS6 though, for various reasons. Of course a hood change could be easily reversed. Still, to me one major reason to change the hood would be to get functional ram air. I have that so a swap would be even more impractical to me.
