Default Daily Driver.

99 M6.

I have a lid, TB bypass, loudmouth.

I'm going to be running pacesetter lt's.

I was wondering what cam I can run with stock lifters, stock timing chain, and oil pump? (going to change the pushrods and springs of course)

I drive the car about 2 miles to work if that. Never gets above 40 mphs and to school a freeway drive of about 6 miles 70mph <?

I want an aggressive sounding cam. Anyone got anything for sale. I need longtubes and the cam and acc.

Let me know thanks guys

I have been DDing my twin turbo car for a few weeks now and I plan to continue doing it until its time to back half it.

Daily driving a car is all about how much bullshit your willing to put up with, for me no heater or ac, no carpet, super loud fuel pumps whining, etc and im fine with it, others can't live without having all the stock drivability.

He was basically telling you what you are going to find out either the easy/hard way. What type of driving are you planning on doing other than daily? And everything you mentioned you will probably want to change out for new or better. Lifters possibly being an exception.

Well with stock heads you can only go so big, I mean TREX will fit and sound really mean but its not optimal with your setup.

And why not get a adjustable timing set while your doing a cam, with the front cover off you might as well spend the $150 on insurance! You are familar with what happens when a timing chain lets go right?

You might want to look for something in the 235/235/575/575/112 range, it sounds like a good spot for you to start. Trex is about the biggest you can go on stock components and its 248/252/608/610/110 IIRC

The 224/224 on a 112 is a pretty agressive sounding cam. Then again so is the hotcam.

I did a LT1 like that a while back and it sounded mean before tuning open headers, soon as we put exhaust on it and got the tune on there it sounded very tame.

So...

I thought it was pretty hard to put a double roller chain on? is it not? will i have oil pump issues? or if I get a pulley will it cut down on that issue?

I do some recreational driving as well on the weekends.

I want the motor alone to sound agressive not just the exhuast. I want it to idle mean. So guys standing on the corner are like whats that cali boy got in that camaro. I want it to be the baddest ride in town cause no one here has anything done to there cars. So help me out fellas!

Aggressive motor = Procharged or Turbocharged

you really don't want a sewing machine for a motor.

Hot Cam should be the affordable dailey kit. it comes with cam and springs should do well with LT's. Will need a tune though. That thing is going to lope through the LT's and Loudmouth. Check out ls1sounds.com and see if they have that application to make sure you like

I hate CA emissions, you can't really get a real "aggressive/radical" cam in california without getting clipped by the cops. They're really really cracking down bad on our cars, especially ones with "louder exhaust", if it's not stock-exhaust they can pull you over at their disgression and give you a fix it ticket to be inspected by the CHP office, that is when they get you for everything else that is not CARB approved (IE - LT headers, EGR mods, etc). That's why I even got rid of the hotcam, and went with a less "here i am here i am" cam. I hate CA.
