Correct, we do not make them with the dot for the "i".
We tried it for a little while back in the day, and it was pretty difficult to get it out of the sheet metal without damaging it. So, we decided not to give false hope, and just packaged them without that piece. The pieces that are cut have to be tabbed into the sheet they are cut from for several reasons:
1 - If they are completely cut out, they can fall in the laser bed and get destroyed from molten metal splashing around down there.
2 - If they don't fall through, they can become cocked up and protrude from the surface of the metal. If the laser head hits this, then it can damage the laser, but it will 100% of the time move the sheet of metal you're cutting from thereby causing all of your programmed cuts to be in the wrong spot of the metal, and then a lot of your cuts become defective from being off center, crooked, etc etc.
There really is no productive way to make them, and it's a needed sacrifice unfortunately.
