Default SC VETTE VS> STS Z28

I was sitting in a parking lot in the Saginaw area and a guy walks up ask a few ? about my ride (whats it got, how much you boostin) then he ask me If I wanted to run his car(z28) I ask no ? and tell him ok.

We go out to the road and I ask him what kinda race does he want> He tells me A 30 roll so we slowly take off and hit 30 then boom! the guy just hits it , no honk no 1,2,3 nothing all I hear was his turbo spooling up! I hit and real him in by 60 and put a car on him by 80 and lay off!

He still wants to run em' again so I tell him on three! Boom we both get into it @ 30mph and by 45 I have half a car on him then I hit third and proceed to put 3-4more on him. I grab 4th just to make sure theirs no doubt in his mind and put a total of 7-8 cars on him!

fun run good kill!

does anyone know the owner of a dark blue or black turbo Z28 in the ft. worth area?
If so tell him good run and nice car!

Awesome kill!

How much power does you're setup put out?

How is the driveability with the D1SC on a stock diplacement motor?

I'd bet 700+whp or close too it.....

it's got a h/c setup and p1sc under it, hehe

not to mention, better aerodynamics and lighter.

the sts maybe 500-550whp tops.

Nice kill, are you running the ds1c on your stock bottom end or forged? I say 550 rwhp or so for the vette and mid to high 400's for the z28.

I say Vette 614.9 RWHP and 479 RWHP Camaro. Not that it matters.

Good guess Jayplay! I'm putting 600rwhp down, but I have no idea what the camaro was putting down!

the bottom end is stock and the car drives like a stocker other than the cam idle! the tune is set rich and I splash the tank with 105oct for safety when I know I'm going to be racing. I forgot to mention we got it on vid. and it should be up soon! thanks for the props!

I guess your being conservative on the boost since you have a stock bottom end?

Yea im sure its not gonna be more than 8-9 psi, thats why I guessed lower as he didnt have a forged motor in his sig. My guess is the z28 was running a base sts kit making max 7-8 psi, which would be around 450-480 rwhp.

I'm running 6psi with the d1sc. I have a 4.75inch pulley and a intake restrictor.

Yeap, that's what I was thinking, if you were running 8-9psi, you would be closer to 700whp.

and the sts kit is probably running 5-6psi, they put over 500whp at 8 psi at over 4k feet.
