Default Any tips (HA!) for cleaning CME tips?

Like the title says, the bottom edge of my tips gets nasty black from the exhaust and I'm looking for suggestions on cleaning them. Thanks

you can use 2000 grit sandpaper on the tips if they are black around the edges..then finish with alittle metal polish of somekind! that worked for me

Spray them with all wheel cleaner, let it soak a minute, then rinse em off. I hit them with some metal polish every couple of months. A green SOS pad works wonders for getting anything off that the wheel cleaner won't get.

I use Mother's Aluminum Polish and a clean microfiber rag.

Also, if you want them to be easier to clean and look better for longer, get the tips as clean as possible and have them cleared.

Thanks all. I actually had some aluminum polish that I never thought of using. That and a rag worked alright though it took awhile. I'll try a green pad next time, that would be more abrasive and probably work better. Thanks again!

I use metal polish & sealer that is made by the same company...I just bought it at a car show, so I have only used it a few times. So far it holds up nice & now the tips wipe off very easy. Before that, I used glass cleaner...

I do the same LANDONZ except I follow it with wet sanding, then I polish with Mothers.
