Default Help me pick my seats, sparco, recaro....

I am tired of the stock park bench quality seats. So I am about to order my seats for the SS. I am looking for something a little wider than the Sparco Torinos I have the in Z28. Right now I am leaning towards custom leather Sparco Monzas. If you go to www.Sparcousa.com you click on "get stitched", and you can build your seats, check it out just for fun, build one to match your car.

I will be doing light beige leather, graphite perforated inserts, black stitching and matchin rear seats.

My question is does anyone have any other recommendations? Recaro's or other seats they like. Money is not the issue, just comfort. Some have recommended custom one piece carbon buckets instead of street seats, but I am not too keen. What do you have in your car.

Have you considered some TA seats? I swapped out my camaro seats from some bird seats, made a big difference.

I actually considered TA seats. They are a definite improvement over Camaro Buckets, but still cannot be compared to a good set of aftermarket seat. Every time I would ride in my Z28 and the Sparcos I get so uncomfortable when I get back in the SS. The Arizens look like Recaros, similar design. Can't find any that match my car though.

I should be picking up some Corbeau Forza II seats this weekend. I'll try to post pics when I get them in.

From what I hear Recaros are the way to go. I assume you want a reclining seat for maximum comfort. Check out the Recaro Sport "Topline"...it is Recaro's most comfortable sport seat. It is even electronically adjustable and can be had for about $750.
I would also check out the Recaro Speed seat...not as fancy as the "Topline" but has the same design.

So are you looking to sell the Sparcos??

I am debating it. The Torinos are nice, but as I get wider they seem to be getting smaller, lol. They are the best seats i have sat in, other than the Sparco Milano's. I want seats for the SS first, and maybe upgrade the Z28s seats when its running again. I am not a fan of Recaro Sports, don't like the look although they are very comfortable. if they produced some seats that matched some of their OEM designs for porsche or Ferrari I would be all over them. But....

Watch out with that vinyl crap they use on the sides of the seat. After a while it will rip.

Those look super comfortable. I need the pass through for the belts though. I have gotten used to them in the Z28. There is a pic attached that is what I am leaning towards, there is also a pic of my Z28's interior. My Z is over the top in a "LOOK AT ME, LOOK THE F#@K AT ME!!" kinda way. Now I am 30 with kids, and would like to tone down, maybe black leater with red inserts. Maybe then the ricers wouldn't jump curbs to chase me.

I got Sparco Monza's. They're red and black to match my firebird. They don't look gay like they belong on a rice rocket like some do, and they're EXTREMELY comfortable. I recommend Sparco.
