Default Is it pointless to put an aftermarket throttle body on stock LS1 intake?

I have a 2000 trans am with an ATI procharger on it, just bought it, and I love it. I have been reading and I think if I read correctly that my car has an LS1 intake and not the LS6, now what i was wondering is. Is it pointless to switch out my stock throttle body to a F.A.S.T. 90mm throttle body without switching out my intake? The only thing that the guy did before was have the D1SC procharger installed and 55# injectors. Let me know, thanks

Well you cant put a Fast 90 on the stock ls1 anyways.

I'd recomend a fast 90/90 for your setup.

a 90mm throttle body will only attach to a fast 90mm intake manifold. you can't put a 90mm throttle body on an LS1 or even an LS6 intake manifold. with your procharger, a fast 90/90 setup is STRONGLY recommended. i'd predict gains of over 30hp.

that being said, i'd recommend against the FAST 90mm throttle body. they had some problems with their throttle blades sticking open and the last thing you need is to not be able to stop in traffic. get the nick williams 90mm throttle body. it's consistent quality has given it the #1 spot on the boards.

even better theres a tpis 1200+cfm oval tb with a modified ls6 intake manifold. alil more then the plain ls6 and p&p, but still less then the 90/90 i think.
