Harwood hoods Vs. SLP Hoods
I'm looking at getting a ram air hood for my car. I live close to Summit Racing, and they sell a Harwood bolt-on ram air hood made out of fiberglass for $525 and a SLP bolt-on hood made from OEM composite for $825.
Which one would be the better buy, the Harwood or SLP? I'm leaning towards the Harwood because of the $300 price difference, but I'm not sure of the quality. I believe the SLP hoods are made from the same molds as the factory hoods, so quality should be up there.
And which one would be lighter, the composite or the fiberglass?
Also, does anyone here actually have a Harwood hood [any car]???

I had a hardwood hood at one time. Fit was fine. Never had any problems with cracks, spiderwebs, or anything. The only thing is that you have to cut the ram air holes out and trim the outer edges. Not hard to do at all, if you want to save some money. I dont remember specific weight, but was light as the other brands. For the money I say go for it.

I think we're thinking of different years here. The HO hoods for 93-97 look like the factory 96-97 WS6 hoods. I know the HO hoods for the 98+ are completely different from the factory 98+ WS6 hoods.
