Default th400 swap does it need retune

Im getting my cam in and soon either gonna do heads or nitrous,but before I do need toaddress the trans.If I whent with a th400 do I need to retune?I know I will need a new stall,bellhousing,shifter,etc.Should I just get a built 4l60e.Which one would be cheaper?Can awell buit 4l60e handle 600rwhp(thats the highest power level ithink i willgo).Can I just get ath400 bolt it up with a tcverter with the same stall speed or would Istill need to retune?

Well... I had a t56 and went to a th400. No retune and the car ran fine.

TH400 would be cheaper and you can have gears swapped and such, but you lose OD and if its a street car more, then it kind of sucks, but nothing different than a muscle car, just gota get used to it.
