Angry Caliper pain

well i was going to put my Trans am stickers on my calipers yesterday. i had already painted them. so i decided i'de spray a little brake clean on a rag and wipe them down. BIG NO NO it started stripping the pain off now i have to redoo the calipers again. is there any special way i'm supposed to clean these or just soap and water with a hose? that just iritates me that i have to do it again because of a mistake i made

I use soap and water with a hose. Keeps them nice and shiny red.

Yeah brake cleaner is pretty strong stuff and so is brake fluid. It'll eat away at your paint.
