Default New stall for 95

Ive been thinking of putting in a better stall in my 95 A4 but really dont know what to go with I was thinking 2800 to 3000 would either be good for a car with 2.73 in the rear I plan on putting in 3.42 but not right after I install the stall. So how would my daily driving be with that high of a stall on 2.73 rear.

Its gonna be hard on gas around town with 2.73's. With 2.73's the converter is gonna be slipping more than it would with 3.42's until it goes into lock up.
