Default what kind of gear are you guys running with a 26" tire?

is a 4.10 to 4.56 gear too much for a 26" tire with the 4l60e n/a? will i run out of rpm at the end of the track?

I would say yes, the 4l60e has a low 1st gear ratio heck 4.10 would be the limit i would consider!According to the stall size 3:73 is usually the most prefered run gear! What other mods do yo have or power adders all this would need factored in to really know?

bone stock motor.eventually i'm going to put a 3500-4k stall and hit it with some giggle juice.i wonder if i put a 28" tire on if it will drop the rpm enough to finish the 1/4 mile? the reason i ask is i can get a phenominal deal on a rear end right now but it has 4.30 gears in it

Yeah I would consider some 3:73 then!Anything over is just alittle to much! With 3:73 ya really close to top of 3rd in the 1/4 give or take alittle for the power!Ive swaped peoples gears that had super lowgears and they wasn't real happy! It was to much gear for them ya have to have a heck of a tire to run! Ya would have to run 28 for a 4:56 or 4:30 gear!Ya still have gear ratios in your tranny so ya have to take that in to effect! If its a whole rear say a 12 bolt or 9 in might be good if its a killer deal ya can always change gears! Then that way ya already got the bigger rear!Hey got to think of it both ways hu!
