Suspension & Brakes - is this normal?

I recently scored some used G.W. rod/rod LCA's with about 5k miles on them. <img border="0" alt="[pimp]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_pimp.gif" /> I installed them this weekend and now the suspension "rattles and clunks" on rough roads. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" /> The lca rod ends appear to be fairly tight, they are tourqed down, and when I jacked the car up today they didn't have any play and had a decent resistance to being turned from side to side. (I suspect that the rattling and clunking is coming from the lca's rotating from side to side) The rear end also feels like it is moveing from side to side in turns and curves, although this could be the infamous <img border="0" alt="[driving]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_driving3.gif" /> "butt-o-meter". <img border="0" alt="[driving]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_driving3.gif" /> Aside from SLP bolt in SFC's, the LCA's are my only suspension mods. I am also in the process of getting a G.W. PHR.
Can anyone help me out with any suggestions or explanations? <img border="0" alt="[bang head]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_banghead.gif" />

Both sets of rod end LCA's I've had (on two cars) clunk and rattle. Some are better than others, but they all seem to be a little noisy. I'd not worry much about it (if you can take the noise) it seems to be normal.

Thats about what I thought. Is there any thing I can do about the noise? eg Rubber bushing on edges of tube??? My other concern was the side to side shifting of the rearend in turns. anybody have any clues on that?

Shifting side to side? The rod end control arms allow the rear end complete movement (the stock arms only rotate on one axis) and these are unrestricted....now you are asking your panhard rod to do it's job without any assistance and the stock one it somewhat flexible. I'm guessing that is the problem you are mentioning. I'd replace it with an aftermarket bar. Since the panhard rod onlt moves in one axis, you can use a bar with polyurethane ends (I have rod ends on mine, but it is not absolutely required). I think Lakewood has one that is inexpensive and strong (I know they have one, and it is plenty strong...and it used to be inexpensive..haven't looked lately). Hope that helps you out.
