well i went to the track today. First run was an 11.9@111. 1.62 60'. second run was a 12.04@110 on a 1.64 60'.

the da was around 2900, humidity was 100%, and temps were in the mid-high 80's.

Last time at the track it was a da of 3500, and temps around 100*. I ran a 11.7@114-115 all day.

Since then my car lost about 50 pounds (3400 with me in it). I improved the intake. AND i replaced the 3.42 gears with new ones.

My guess is that the problem is with the way the gears were put together.

Before i bring this to one of our shops would you agree that this would make me loose 5 mph??

The backlash was set to .011, patterened correct, and pinion debth was measured right.

humidity plays a lot into into how your car is performing.

this past sat it was 90 degrees with 90% humidity and my car dropped 4 mph and theres nothing wrong with her.

thats good to know. thanks

i brought it to a shop that has done alot of work on the car (previous owner) and they agreed something was wrong with it.

They said it was possible a rocker went (they looked at the car). Or one or two of my msd wires went bad. The motor was shaking pretty bad even for having a bigger cam.

Oil is clean, so im going to buy some gm performance wires tomorrow.

just a little update....

I changed the oil and it was clean as can be.
All the plugs/plug wires were replaced.

When the car was in the air i spun the front tires with the skinies on. The right tire spun free as can be. the left tire stoped as soon as i took my hand of it. So my brake is sticking on that side.

Hopefully thats most of my problem.
