The wastegate is not related to the blowoff valve.

Your wastegate regulates exhaust gas flow through the turbine wheel, and vents it into the downpipe when you reach full boost.

The blow off valve relieves pressure on your intake pipes.

Could you explain how your blow off valve is connected? I don't see what kind you have in your sig but I can tell you on my TIAL 50mm it did that because I accidently hooked it up to a source of vac/boost that was BEFORE the throttle blade, after moving it behind the throttle blade things are 100% better and I get a nice turbo car sound when the blade quickly closes on boost.

The port on the passangers side of the throttle body that faces back is not the correct port, I have that one blocked off.

There are two (one coming off either side of the intake by the throttle body) and either of thoes ports will work fine. I use one for wastegates and the other for BOV.
