Have an adjustable TA on there now but it's got
enough play in the ball ends to make some clunks
on gear changes that are bugging me (esp. on the
first upshift after downshift engine braking, or vice
versa, where it has all the accumulated slack to
go bang-bang).
Wondering about going to a nonadjustable one, I
see some are set up for "-2 degrees on stock height"
but wonder what that becomes, with a 1" drop. It
looks like not much of a difference but has anyone
actually bothered to measure a nonadjustable piece
this way?
Anyone with this sort of drop & a fixed TA, who can
say about noise, vibration, clunkage? Looking at the
UMI and Edelbrock pieces in particular, leaning to
UMI at present. But having spent many hours dialing
in the adjustable for driveline vibration I want to get
a pretty good idea that a nonadjustable one won't
leave me worse off.
