I own a 2001 camaro z28 a4. The mods are 3.73 rear gears with an slp y-pipe and exhaust and an slp lid with the free ram air mod. Not to mention a great tune from triple xxx motorsports. A guy i work with own's a 2004 350z with a cold air intake that is a manual. The only mod he claims to have is a cold air induction kit. He keeps on saying he could beat my car i was just wondering if any of you have ever raced a 350z and what do you think the outcome would be.

It'll be ugly for him. Every 350Z i've raced that wasn't boosted was in my rearview mirror. I haven't raced one that is turboed though, so I dunno (Apparently they respond well to turbos, which wasn't the case a year or so ago).

Anyways, watch out for a roll race. Your A4 has problems with roll races at specific speeds, though I dunno what speed they are at, as I drive a manual.

Thanks guys that's kinda what i thought i just wanted to make sure i wasn't missing something here. Yea i wanna run him from a dig but i'm having trouble hooking up since the gear swap! I'm thinking about maybe throwing some drag radials on it and seeing if he'll run for some money! I could use some gas money. HAHA

low 14/high 13s at best stock...you will be fine. They are a good match for an LT1 or stang GT...but teven then, the domestics have more advantages.

Seems like another Z owner who bought the car and doesn't know much about cars in general or the 350 itself. I hate it when that happens so just race him and you'll beat him lol. That is if he's stock. The VQ responds well to small shot of Nitrous though so if he's into that stuff just becareful he ain't hiding a small shot anywhere.

It great for a 6, but you shouldnt have a problem. My wife's friend has a new one with an auto no less, Its a quick little car, a tad faster than the 01 Mustang GT auto we had.

You'd beat him if you had stock 2.73s probably.
I went from an M6 Z28 to a 2003 Track edition M6 350Z and it's about a second slower stock vs stock. My best time with the 350Z bone stock was 13.90@100. So I bet you'd whup him pretty good.

Make sure you race from a dig on a completely empty street, reguardless of what he wants. I had a trash-talking coworker with a stock n/a 300ZX want to race me on a small, busy street during rush hour because it would be "more fair" for him... idiot
