when u have forced induction the charged air tends to find its way to the pistons if u have the path ported or not, besides that i guess it should give u a small amount in my opinion but, then wouldnt just raising the boost a little do the same thing?
ported intake=more air / raising boost=more air.... see what i mean?
well also i would of personally went with a victor jr./gmpp carb style intake with a 90 degree elbow with a 90mm throttle body, but thats just my opinion, dont let me make u think u made a wrong choice, its just my personal opinion

With a 408ci it is bound to help, especially if you are upgrading from the LS1 intake manifold. Some people are reporting boost leaking from the FAST intakes, I know of one place that I heard is refusing to use them anymore, as they have experienced too many problems with them. The Nick Williams throttle body is a nice one, they work very well. Bob

maybe just try to seal it up with some silicone sealer or something to help out the normal seal of the manifold then bolt it together. thats what i would do. i could be wrong though.
I wouldn't bother with the FAST 90 setup in a FI application. I'm about to make real close to 700 rwhp on 93 octane with a 408/D1SC combo and LS6 intake with a ported stock TB. For what it costs, the gains aren't worth it. Spend that $1000+ on a fuel system.
And I've also heard about the FAST 90 having problems with boost, from a reputable shop.
