His car and mods..: Corvette 2002, manual, air intake.

My mods: 2002 Camaro Convetibel.
TSP Torquer cam, PRC 5.3 heads, headders, louthmouth, automatic, 3000stall, moser 12 bolt, bigger swaybars, bigger torque arm.

I would say two things are contributing to the way your highway run turned out. First of all, his vette (I'm assuming it's not a vert) is more aerodynamic than your vert camaro. The weight difference doesn't help either. Another thing is his car is an M6, which is better from a roll than your A4. Have you raced him from a dig? I'm positive that your stalled H/C A4 will tear him up from a dead stop. If not, then something is wrong with your car or he has more than intake mods.

Also i hope you top wasn't down. Verts are heavy and not aerodynamic. Run him from a dig and f-him up.

There are a lot of things to take out or replace for weight. Just depends on how comfortable you like to be. My car is just for weekend cruising/racing (although a vert), I'll get it light

Power to weight is everything! Thats why corvette's are so damn fast. Your car needs a diet quick, 4100lbs is killing your very strong car. Take others advise and go from a dig, he wont want to race from a dig again. Good luck and post results!

I disagree. Top down then ok..they arent going to be as fast. The weight differance isnt THAT much to make such a big differance as far as the Fbodies go.

way to make an obviously un-educated generalization about verts!!! Obviously if his car wieghs that much he has other crap in the car, i weighed mine at the track and i didnt even break 3600pds!!!! I also have the little stock body kit on mine for what its worth, and if verts were not ment to run at the drag strip, then how did i post those times in my sig bone stock? That was also the first time i had ever driven this car at the track!! His car is obviously a freak in the wieght dept., never heard of a vert camaro wieghing that much!

Ok, not sure where youre going with this. Obviously his car weighs a freakish amount, which is why i have a 700+ lb advantage over HIM. I dont think i ever said all verts weigh that much. Also never said verts werent made to run at the track, but having said that, how many 10/11 second quarter mile convertibles do you see? Oh yea, chassis twist and not having a roof over my head, almost forgot about that, i knew there was a reason verts werent good drag strip cars
