Nope, I've contaced numerous vendors about having it made and no one was willing to do it either .

I had a list of 12 with cash in hand and no vendors wanted to do it... I actually lost $50 (to get a prototype going) on some vendor from another message board who is now banned...

They don't want to do it because of the legalities involved in reproducing someone else's work without permission.

Do your own variation of it. Ive been considering it to be "different" but I cant work the design on paper the way I have it in my mind . I need photoshop to tinker w/ it more lol.

exactly, but just have someone do alittle something different to it like add LS1 or SS just so legalities aren't an issue

So the side stripe is a registered trademark? Or has a patent on it? That would be interesting to see proof of. Amazingly, people can copy the hood stripes from the same car and there are no legal issues there, but the side stripe is protected? WTF?

Even if there was a legal infringment of some type, the stripe would have to be EXACTLY the same as a DH car for it to be protected. Which means the fact that it isnt painted on, doesnt say "Dick Harrell", and that you could simply make it 1/4" longer or wider all lead to the same conclusion = problem solved.

Why would it be any different than say... copying the factory emblems for overlays, or creating stainless steel versions, or copying the "Berger Panel" or CETA mod. I guess in my opinion that is a bad excuse for someone not making a look-alike product.

I think it would look Badass! Sorry about the rant.

It's not that at all, they stole it from the Yenko... They just feel it's a large design and they don't have a template to base it off of.

He's talking about the classic Yenko's of the 1960's.

I see exactly what you saying. My point was most Mom & Pop sign shops don't want to take the risk of getting sued. A high-dollar business like GMMG and/or Valerie Harrell vs The Itty Bitty Vinyl Store....the outcome wouldn't be good.

Anyways, whether it has to be altered or not I can't find anyone willing to do it . I think it would look KILLER! I wanted to have it done in Satin Black and then post my "kills" on the big part of the "spear"...

Have custom vinyl emblems that look like other factory emblems (running horse, cobra, etc...) with red X's through them !
