Default Rear of my Z critique and poll please...

Heres my car now, please ignore the lack of wheels i have ZR1's sitting in the kitchen waiting to be mounted at work this weekend as well as XS headers for next weekend.

However the rear is at a standstill... i cant decide what to do.

A) Finish the stripes starting under the CAMARO panel.
B) Finish stripes and add Stainless letter inserts.
C) Leave no stripes and do the inserts.
D) Do a silver berger panel with black letter inserts and no stripes.
E) Silver berger panel with black inserts and stripes.

Open to any critique.

I voted for stripes under the CAMARO panel seeing as how the stripes go all the way down on the front of the car. I'm not sure if that would look better with or without inserts.

I think the stripes would look better if you stopped them before you went to the bottom of the front bumper. I def would not bring them down in the back. Are they painted on or decals? I like the red inserts on the back of the car. But chrome prob would go better with your theme. I am kinda in between with the stripes too. I wanted to put the 35th anniversary stripes on my car but not untill I get the ss hood and spoiler. I think stripes flow better on SS's.

If they go all the way down on front make them go all the wqy down on back. If you want do what they said and bring them up in the front.

Im fine with the stripes ending above the CAMARO part too but with the stripes you got I dont like it. The other pic that was posted that ends at the decklid looks great but i dont think the stripe you got could pull that off. In retrospect stripes on the back bumper would look a little out of place due to the contours but your stripes dont look like they should end where they do. Ionno, tough call.

Don't continue the stripes, because that's what I like to call "Mustang style".....the older camaros ended the stripes before the rear bumper, carry on the tradition!! lol

heres mine...they are painted

yeah its a Z28 why?

just curious what do you guys think of the stripes themselves?

I've gotten mixed opinions and I sometimes have mixed opinions myself.

THey are decals and i have considerred nixing them for some hockey stripes and a cowl hood and lip spoiler.

How do you remove vynil stripes?

The car would look so much cleaner with some simple wheels (like the ZR1s you already have) and some stainless inserts. The stripes are alright but I think there are better ways to stand out without being over the top. Most stripe packages are over the top. I say continue the stainless theme with a nose badge and side emblems. It will be more tasteful. And against a darker color like black, stainless is a great contrast. I say look around at other cars and decide for yourself. As for the monterey camaro the stripes do look good because they are painted. Fibbado it sounds like you aren't committed to the stripes so I could not recommend painted stripes. Sorry if I'm talking in circles and I hope you see where I'm coming from. Good luck with the decision.

im not really diggin the stripes. I would take them off put your wheels on and do some plain ol inserts. I do however agree with camaroguy87, they would look alot better with an ss hood and spoiler or even just an ss spoiler.

BTW(camaroguy87)- the rear of you car looks crazy mean. I love it

THanks for the input guys, they're coming off for sure.

I have been considering red hockey tripes very seriously but we shall see.

I just bought a whole bunch of detailing stuff so im gonna remove the stripes and side molding this weekend and use all my new Mothers stuff. Scratch remover, sealer & glaze, clay bar and showtime detailer, carnauba wax.

I'm really wanting a clean, crisp but Unique mod. I also have all my blue LED's for the interior lighting and im just about to do the whistler mod.

red hockey strips on a black z will be just as tacky as those stripes.just keep it subtle& clean, less is more!

Yea, go with the less is more advice. Its easy to look at your car and want to do things, but sometimes its just one of those things. You need to know when to leave it alone. I'd lose the stripes, and do inserts. Just keep it clean and simple.
