Theres a rumor circulating the Pontiac crowd that they will name it the Pontiac GTO! If they do, I hope they can back it up. It will be hard to fill the shoes of a Legend.

Forgot to mention that the top of the line Holden pumps out over 400hp and 376lbft torque. Which should fill the shoe somewhat. The remaining vacancy in the shoe will have to come with a more aggressive look. Dont get me wrong I like the Holden and it looks pretty dang cool, but it lacks that "Im gonna wup yo ass" look like the original muscle car.

that car looks weird. then again, if they build it it'll only make our cars look that much lower, sleeker, faster, etc...

Ugh. I'll pass. I'd rather buy an Accord!

Theres no way that car will ever be a Pontiac! Pontiacs have always been known as having aggresive Love it or hate it looks, not a normal everyday car look.

Dont get me wrong im not knocking the car entirely, just the looks.

I would love to see them make it look like that Orange GTO pic that was circulating for a while. Or even like that AWD LS1 Grand Prix With the huge ram air hood scoops.

How freaking hard is it to design a car that looks mean and would attract people like us?? I'd really like to meet some of the boneheads that work in design at GM..

If they build it I will buy it. Imagine that car with LT headers, orp, and a big ass lope. And, IRS. People would look at that car, hear it and say "WTF???" I will still keep the TA forever, but I would buy that for sure. I like the yellow one, but the others are too riced out.

If it does in fact get over here, Pontiac will put their own nose on it. The rear end you can't do much about, but it will have a Pontiac nose on it.

I think I'm going to give up. With no f-body or reasonable alternative, my next car will be a 1970 Corvette Stingray. That should take an LS1/4L60E nicely.

Whoever did that isn't very creative or even skilled... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" /> Oh well. Time will tell what we'll end up with, yes? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> Personally, I rather like the look of the Monaro and hope it doesn't get changed too much to become a Pontiac.
