I'm in the process of transferring over everything I can from my LS6 to my 402 LS2. The rear plastic oil galley plug (lolly pop) looks ok but has been on back order for 10 days now from the dealer. Looks fine, I think I'm going to reuse it, any reason not to? Also, has anyone else have to grind down the inside rear center rib in the vette oil pan to clear the windage tray after 1 washer was added? The pan will not sit on the rails until I did this.

I would at least change the O ring.

Yes you can reuse the plastic oil restrictor again. You will have to take down most of that center rib to clear the windage tray. Thats normal procedure, sometimes the 1/2 round holes on the pan need to get massaged where the pickup tube routes through. Your doing good over there! Remember to rotate the motor over once again after the pan is on for good and listen for anything touching.

Yep, everything looks good now, buttoned the pan and rear cover earlier and I'm dropping the notor in sunday. Now all I have to do is get the input shaft to fit into the pilot bearing and I'll be home free, hopefully. Thanks Dave!!

No problem Ionize! Let us know how it goes! That pilot bearing is a PITA sometimes...Sometimes using a 15/16 socket and turn the motor over a little as you wiggle it in
