Default Help

Im having a really big problem with my F1 sbc. Boost is about 15#'s. This problem persists in 1st 2nd and 3rd gear, at any speed.. When I nail the gas my car pulls really hard for about a 1/2 second then just bounces off the rev limiter.. Im running a 26in tall tire w/ 4:10 gears. I just orderd a new set of 3:42 gears to try and fix the problem. Could this be due to running to small a tire or too large a converter (4000 stall) ??

what is the rpm drop between gears when you shift? (around 1400 rpm is normal)

it sounds like you are blowing through the converter and changing gears will only make it worse. before you go with a different gear you should try using a 28 inch tall tire to take some gear out and see what that does.

Have you checked for codes yet? Could be a vaccum leak or bad ground.
