Mmmmm, I'm not sure, y'all.

I mean, I know this comes from a newspaper 'n whatnot, but those inset headlights, the clutter on the rocker panels, the unresolved beltline crease? That's sloppy, even for the folks who brought you the Aztek.

It all seems a bit Photo-shoppy. Just smacks a little too much of those "angry toasters" GM chairman Bob Lutz has railed against. The official illustration as released to the press and seen in another thread may be a bit too GP-ish, but I bet it's closer to production.

I HOPE that is not what it looks like!!!

So far, the GTO hasn't looked or sounded all that bad - definitely not going to "replace" the Trans Am, but at least a Pontiac performance choice.

However, the front nose shown here is awful! It is a really bad version of the "ricer" noses you see on Accords and Civics and has no business on a GTO in any form. Let's all hope this is not really the final version - or that there will be some great and reasonably priced aftermarket noses available - or that a high-quality bra will hide all that clutter!

That can't be right,,, It has the GTS 19" rims and we know that the US GTO is getting 17"rims. And the rest of the bodykit still retains HSV influences.. My guess, thats a glimpse of what may have been or what will be....

Shag Finger. That pic you got there is of a HSV GTS with a 300Kw motor.. The car the US is getting is based on a CV8 Monaro.. Forget all about the HSV versions, you aren't getting them...

Actually, blend in a GP-style grille, leave the rest of the HSV front fascia as it is, and clean up the rocker panels. That might make a pretty slick GTO.

I would like to see something more than the CV8 302 hp, though. They really oughtta tweak that figure a bit...

I was pretty sure the pic of the silvercar (off the pontiac website) is the offical pic. Motor Trend also has this pic as "GM,s offical picture." I like this picture. I really don't see Pontiac doing something as stupid as turning an Aztec looking car into their flagship. As far as the GTO looking like the Grand Prix, I am pretty sure this is the idea Pontiac is going for, if history repeats its self. Only time will tell.

I sure as hell hope it won't look like that. That's just embarrassing if you ask me.

I imagine they will get 340hp out of the car..from GM before they bring it over here to the states and change the gearing for more spirited acceleration..

This car will tune up just like the f body except the parts might even be less expensive..

The reason I say might be less expensive is because the f body aftermarket parts inventory on basic items..might allow for some excellent pricing..

Of course it could go the other way and get more expensive but with this sickening economy..

I think aftermarket parts will get more competitive ..

Its going to be a very nice car to run with.

While I agree this "GTO" looks like garbage I think the Solstice looks great, and if they could actually manage to produce them to the specs they were talking about (220hp supercharged 4 I believe weighing at around 2200lbs with a 6 speed) it would be even sweeter.

All of them except the sketch look awlful ricy to me. Especially the hood on that car Orange Krush. What are they trying to do? Is any potential ricer going to buy an American V-8?
