How do you like them and how are they holding up?

I have one from Mac, since April. I use it every day, breaking loose tight bolts and its held up fine. The mechanism is as tight as it was new, the chrome still cleans up nice and shiny too. The Rubberized handle has gotten a bit beaten but it still is better than a steel handle

there all made by the same company, GearWrench, Snap-on, Matco, Cornwell, Mac. i went with GearWrench because they are cheeper and i have only broke 1 and it was warrantied.

i have a mac one... and i dont like to use it because if you ratchet to fast it will change directions on you... ive had the gut replaced in it 3 times and it never fixed the problem so it just sits in my box

I've never had that problem before. When was the last time you had it replaced? My Mac dealer told me that they had recently re-designed it (this winter/spring) I don't remember what the reason was, it could be what your describing and if thats the case, maybe you can get an updated model.

same problem here...got both of mine - 3/8 and 1/2 drive - swapped out with the up dated one....still no good. The 1/2 drive doesnt seem to be near as bad as the 3/8, but it still happens. I still use it though when working in tight places where I cant move much. Dont love it, but like it. In hindsite.....buy normal stuff, get it later.....oh well.
