First day out to the track with new combo-close but not close enough!
Hey guys, the Mustang club rented Sparta today and where nice enough to let me come out with them to test the car out. Weather started out good then got up to eighty's but still not too bad, but the track just wasn't up to par. But I did learn alot and need alot of practicing on my shifting-a year off has left me pretty rusty! Anyway car is a 02 Z06, stock bottom end with 317 truck heads, a mild cam(222/228), SW headers, factory cats, A&A P1SC kit making 10psi, ECS/Alky control meth kit. Car was tuned to 11.0 on the dyno and today at the track my logs where showing an AFR of 11.3 right across the board-tune was perfect! BUT I couldn't launch for the life of me-even with a tire pressure of 10 psi( I started out at 16-to save my rear!) Car would spin through first and second even when babied out of the hole. 60 fts where in the 1.9 range with a best 1.82, eight mile was in the 101-102 range and the quarter was trapping around 131-132. I'm sure there is a 10 second pass in there somewhere-I hope! Thanks to Don(Slowhawk), Nick(BlownZ06), Julio( Alky control), Doug (ECS), Mightymouse and Kp for answering all my questions and everyone else on this forum for all the tips and insight into the FI C5 world.
Here is a few passes from today:

With alittle practise you'll be in the mid 10's easilly enough.
My trick was to burn the tires good in the burnout box,go to the line and slip the clutch at 4500rpm to the edge of traction.About 30-40' out the clutch would be fully engaged, then powershift to the end.
Tires- Nitto 305's at 22psi.

Thanks for the encouraging word guys-Don I was ready to come home and slide that new cam in and order up a D1SC-lol! But there really wasn't much I could do-the track just wasn't there. i think they sprayed a whole 2-3 feet at the line. The link should work-I just clicked it and worked-try it agian and let me know?

60' will dictate your entire pass ET-wise. 102 in 1/8 isnt bad either. Like Slowhawk said you will have to slip the clitch some but be carefull not to slip it too much or it wont last long. Car looks and sounds great, it will get well in the 10s if you drive it harder and get the 60 foot down.
