97 chevy 4l60e 1st and reverse grabbing
I rebuilt this transmission last year (broken reaction shell) , new seals, new frictions and plates. When taking off its like it is stuck in two gears and is grabbing until it shifts into second gear. From second on up its fine. It does this in reverse also. Already checked fluid and removed the pan, there were some fine particals (almost sludge like) on the magnet nothing abnormal. The filter was clean and i was able to blow air through it. Any quick checks and or ideas are appreciated.

Disassembled transmission and found ¾ clutch friction paper separated from plates.
Also should note the clutches were not burnt, just looks like the paper wasn't glued well. These were the heavy duty Alto clutches. Any suggestions on what brand to put back?

I checked the lo roller and the input sprag both are locking up in one direction. The 3-4 clutch disks were the ones seperated. I have disassimbled the valve body looking for clutch material, and checked the 1-2, 2-3 solienoids so far have not found anything. Think I should install a new converter also?
And thank you for the thoughts.
