Default Lets see those cowl induction/SS hoods

Post up your cowl induction hood... as in glasstek, VFN, Harwood... anything.
Post up those 3" SS hoods if anyone has those too

Curious about that too. Also, how was fit and finish quality?

I love those big cowl hoods, the Glasstek's look intimidating as hell. However, I think the 5in Mike Moran hood from VFN has a little bit better look to it. Its lines are much more smooth, like a Sunoco hood on steroids. I wish I wish I wish there were more pics of the Mike Moran hood out there! I'm about to get a hood and the Mike Moran and 3in SS are the only two I'm considering, but there aren't enough pics of the Moran to make a good decision. Post Moran pics if you got them! For interior shots with Cowl hoods, search in this section under my screenname for "hoods" and I have a thread about interior shots with cowl hoods that had some pics.

as far as the finish i traded a guy my stock SS hood for it and he already had it painted red..color matched perfectly..and the fitment..well i am using my stock bolts and it causes the corners by the windsheild to stick up a little cause they are a tad too long..other than that it fits well.

yea, right hand turns are tricky at first. you have to lean forward/sit higher when making right hand turns

The Mike Moran is smooth like the Sunoco he posted, only it goes to the middle of the headlights width wise and is 5in tall. There have to be more pics than just the ones on VFN's website! That Sunoco will look sick as hell once painted!

Definitely liking the Sunoco. Seems like the lines are smoother and more rounded.

Thanks for the compliments.

I spent a few months drooling over cars like pSSycotic, ProjectCamaro, and Ransom, and decided I wanted a cowl and the Sunoco is my favorite, but I really think the Glasstek hood looks badass also.

Here is what it looks like from inside:

And from the bottom:

Just in case anyone wanted to know.

That Sunoco hood is really starting to get my attention and usually when something get my attention, money starts flowing How much do you guys think a stock SS hood is worth?? 2001 model and black. Good to great shape.
