Rock-on, Rossler, and FLT make the best 4L60E trannys. Just pick one and you will be happy. I use a Rock-On and I can't kill the durn thing.......

Most of the top level transmissions from FLT, Rossler or Rock-On should handle it, but it's pushing it a bit.

FLT makes a level 5 4L65E that may be worth a look. it'll work with our cars from what i'm told, comes with a boatload of upgrades and you know it's a much newer tranny than the 4L60E's. 4L60E's are at least 4 years or so old. the 4L65E can't be older than 2 or 3 years.

i've heard great things about all the sponsor's trannies.

4l65e is a 4l60e with upgraded internals IIRC, they are all the same when you get a built one, all the parts in my rock-on that arent aftermarket are 4l65 parts...

http://www.rock-ontransmissions.com/products.htm just look at the parts list on roc-ons website and see the 4l65e parts in their level 4 4l60e.

i know it's the same basic setup, but the transmission itself is at least 2 years newer. that means it's been beat on for at least 2 years less.

LOL..yeah it is. After 1500 miles, my new motor threw off a weight from the crank (mallory used in balancing) and destroyed my shortblock. I JUST got it going again. No full passes that i want to mention yet until i got the tune all right with the new turbos. I am hoping for 850+ rwhp. i will put in my 8.8 rear before i do a t-brake launch. Just basically driving the car on the street and knocking out the tune.

a 4l80e is the big dawg but expensive thats the only reason i will stay under 600 rwhp for my turbo build to be safe with a built 4l65e

Just dont buy from Rock-On, they will take your money and not give you a transmission. Then when you cancel your order because its taking so long they will not give your money back...and tell ya that.

4L60E, my friend in Lauderdale does. Send him your tranny and $1,000. That pays for all new parts, the best parts available too (except the hard parts) and his labor. He just rebuilt mine and its awesome. Much better and crisper than my FLP's.

The parts were like $450-$500, the rest is his labor. Does it in one day.
