Thinking about selling my turbo setup.
Hey guys,
Seriuosly considering selling my turbo setup off of my car. Out of cash and in debt, something has to give. May turn it back into something reasonable for a daily driver. There is just so much stuff that goes into a turbo kit!! Need some help deciding the best way to go as far as selling it goes. Sell it off piece by piece or offer the entire kit and everything you need to get the thing installed and running on your car? I would even be willing to help with the install since I have done this before. Also, since I want to still drive the car, I am going to need some replacement stock parts which I could take off the buyers hands for a reduction in the price of the kit.
Here is the list of everything that you would need to make this kit work.
Main kit is the Turbo Technology's Race kit for an LS1
http://www.turbotechnologyinc.com/ls...ger_system.htm
Turbo is a Precision PT-88
Tial 50mm BOV
Innovative Indy-Gate Wastegate
60# MOTO Injectors
Race Fuel System Kit - 3
Aluminum dual feed single return tank.
900HP Race Fuel System includes:
-(2) Inline Walbro GSS392 Pumps
-(2) Fuel Filters
-Billet “Y” Block
-Billet LS1 Rails
-All necessary braided lines and fittings
Billet Fuel Pressure Regulator Boost actuated
EBoost boost controller
Meziere Electric Race Water pump
Battery relocation kit (optional battery disconnect if wanting to drag)
parts needed to own, purchase, or remove to make the kit work:
Tubular K-Member (needed for down pipe and turbo pipe clearance)
Remove A/C
Obviously remove headers or manifolds and airbox.
May have to remove cruise control.
May have to notch front crossbar for intake piping.
Remove fuel system.
You get the idea.
This is a very involved kit, but that is pretty much par for any Turbo kit. Some of you have seen or heard of this car and the results of the kit are great. Just not sure that many people would be interested in something like this. Any thoughts or ideas on if this is worth while?

Well, before i start parting this thing out, I have to know if the turbo system is going to be sellable. If anyone is interested in the kit, send me a PM and we can discuss price and all that jazz.
Thanks for the responses so far.

Price is going to be pretty firm, will consider trades to reduce price.

I may just stick to my guns and build from scratch. Its not like I dont have the ability, but time is a concern

Mainly just things that had to be removed for this kit to be installed.
Headers and exhuast system
Any A/C components
stock battery tray/over flow tank
Air lid and bellows for air lid to MAF
I also have a manual steering rack and would not be adverse to going back to power steering. Would trade my rack and steering column for power steering setup plus a little off of the kit price.
Obviously price decrease will be based on the item(s) that are being traded.
I realize this seems like a steep price, but considering what I spent on this it is a steal. Good turbo kits are expensive. Granted, you can piece one together for yourself, but how much is your time worth?
I wish I could just sell the whole damn car and be done with it.

Too bad you have to unload the Turbo Kit. Have a couple slow Stangs with hair dryers and you are right... it aint cheap...but it is a great feeling to be pusched in the back from 0-150mph.
Might be interested if I could see the kit. You could e-mail me @rwhitman54@yahoo.com. Maybe we can make it all work out!!!

If the Turbo kit sells, I may have all kinds of goodies that need to go off the car.
Also, with the fuel system there is an electronic fuel pressure gauge from Autometer (silver face). Also a manual boost gauge with the turbo kit, also Autometer (black face). Ha, just remembered something else, have a six switch panel for all the electric pumps and fans.
