Default Do I Need A New Clutch And What Kind

I recently ordered a MS3 cam and I have and ls6 intake and longtubes. The stock clutch has 50,000 miles on it and hasn't given me any trouble so far. Will I need a new clutch with the extra power and if so what kind for a reasonable price and also where to order it. Any info would be much appreciated.

I would run the stock clutch until it finally gives up, especially if it is working fine. Then with your power level I would suggest a LS7 clutch kit when its time to do the swap. I love mine & have heard zero complaints. Best thing is it hold way better than stock & has just as smooth engaugement at stock. Very good for a daily driver.

I'm still running my stock clutch - 415whp and it was perfect for about 500ft.

The clutch gave me no problems at all, 49k miles. I added the power, it slips on any type of aggressive launch, and the pedal sticks to the floor almost always, and if I floor it for a full throttle run I can't get it out of gear until the clutch comes off the floor. My slave/master is fine, but the fluid might have something to do with it.

Regardless, it worked for a few thousand miles but you'll hate the damn thing. You'll have all this power and not be able to chirp gears as well as you should.

LS7 clutch all the way.

I dont know, ive read on corvette forums that the LS7 clutch isnt all that its cracked up to be. i have the spec stage II and i think it sucks. it is weak in a short amount of time. i think with clutches you get what you pay for either way. if i had the cash, i would get the Textralia or the McLeod street twin.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! lol...Do not get the Spec 3...that is the worst piece of shyt...after a year of aggresive driving and even daily driving...it's gonna die and slip in no time......Don't get me wrong...if you want it for strictly racing, then get it! But only plan to use it for 1 year. Then swap it.
