Multimedia Exchange - Downloading movies from dragstrip. HELP

My buddie made a video of our runs from last week. he uses his sony handy cam and made a dvd-r. my question is how do I get the movies off the dvd-r and save them on my computer????

i think you insert the disk inside your drive, and then once its there go to my computer n find the drive the gots the disk in it and then right click and then click on open n then minimize it.Make a new folder and get all the data that u got on the other window and highlight it all and move it to the new folder it should start transfering all the files.Once its done go to the new folder n you going to see like video something open one of those files and it should play because i done it before.Doesnt your friend have wire for the camara to connect to the pc thats the easiest way.
