Default looking to quiet down rumbler or refine the sound

i want to quiet down my tsp rumbler a lil bit or jsut refine the sound. would a muffler like this...

http://www.flowmastermufflers.com/10_race.html

do much? i was gonna cut the tail pipes off right where the split after the axle. Put this in and make it a single hidden tip. Would this muffler quiet it down at all? or just make it louder? the only reason why i'm looking at it, is because of the compact size...shoudl be pretty easy to fit in. Also, I don't want to transversely mount a muffler.

You could add a couple of high-flow cats on there. The sound will be a little quieter, 10 times more refined, you'll lose 2 whole peak HP, and despite what the rednecks on here tell you, it will not make your ***** smaller.

I thought so, ignore the posts people are making about adding high flow cats, they assumed you had long tubes and an ORY. I think it would be easiest to sell your rumbler and go with something else, but doing what you had in mind would help a lot.
