I'm installing my heads in a couple days, I already make over 400rwhp and have the stock fuel system. I just got some fuel rails to put on with the heads install and want to make sure I'm getting enough fuel. The problem is I'm going to need the 60lb injectors when I put the supercharger on and don't want to have to buy injectors twice. Can I use the 60lb injectors with the heads cam and new tune for a few months? Or should I just stay with the stock injectors until I put on the supercharger? TIA.

yes, tune conservatively. it's not recomended, but totally bluff the injector flow rate on the tune to make the computer give it much less fuel that what the 60's are capable of.

like said above it will be ok. tuners can work with them. I drove on my 60#'ers for a couple months before I put my charger on (breaking in the motor).

you shouldnt have to bluff the IFR. just put the proper values in for the 60lb injectors.. thats the whole ponit of the IFR. The ECU should then get the pulsewidth just right to have about teh same a/f as you did before the injector swap. You do have to mess with the injector battery offset and minimum/default pulsewidth values though.

I went with 60s on my heads/cam package before planning on going to boost, but never could completely get the 60s working. On the decel I simply could not get it to command a low enough pulse width. The lowest I could get was 1.2msec pulse width. I need it to get damn near close to 0.8msec. One of the biggest problem is trying to figure out the injector offset table which I believe wouldve fixed the problem but no one has those values, and no one can seem to get them for me even if I gave them the injector and paid or them to test each value. I attempted to modify the offset table myself and still could not get it anywhere near where I needed. The decel was too rich and upon returning to the gas it would buck because it had too much fuel. I could not use the DFCO because it was already on and turning it to come on at too low just caused driveability issues. I talked to a few folks and came to the consensus that I need a vacuum referenced regulator to bring the fuel pressure down on the decels.

Yeah, I talked to one of the guys at the speed shop I go to and he said to just wait till I get the supercharger on there otherwise the car is going to drive like crap. I just hope the stock injectors will be enough untill then.
