Default 98 z28 v.s. early 90's Mustang

I was leaving work last night and a guy i work with was right in front of me, he saw i was there and got on it to try and pull away. I started reeling him in around 75-80 and had to let off before i rear ended him.

We went a second time next to each other from about a 50 mph roll, he hit first and once i did he had pulled about a car and a half on me. I finally started reeling him in once i got up around the bottem half of 3rd(A4) and finally flew by him around 105...

I was just wondering... did i just get into my powerband and start pulling on him, or did he let off and i just did a lame *** ricer flyby.. I'll talk to him today around 5:30 when i go into work so i can find out if he let off.

Can you guys tell me why my camaro pulls so weak? other than its stock all it has is a cat back...

mustangs die over 100mph.

my car is a bone stock A4 w/2.73's, it has nothing more than a lid, catback and upgraded tires and rims.

my buddy has a fox body that runs a 12.60 on slicks.

he won't race me from a roll. he says he'll only race me up to 100mph because if we go any higher i'll win with my bone stock car my car pulls hardest when i mash it ~75mph. our cars are just very aerodynamic and flow great stock. you pulled him.

The guy with the mustang must have several bolt ons to make his car keep up with you up to 100mph. Your car is basically stock and you passed him @105 that is awesome.
That is so true stock mustangs loose most of their power after shifting into third. Good race go from a dig and see what happens.

is it a fox body (box 80's to 93 style) or the 94 to 98 round body style? If its a H/C/I/Exhaust 5.0 then it could def be possible that let out but hes full of **** if he did just heads/stall/exhaust without doing a cam as well.

doing head w/o a cam is not unheard of and if it has the explorer block then when he says he has "heads" he prob means the GT-40E heads which came stock on the explorer 5.0 motors

You could do a nasty HC setup with that much cash. Like 450WHP nasty.
