You must not have looked to hard. SLP, VFN, Suncoast Creations, Harwood, GlasstekJEGS, Summit, EBAY, the for sale section here, LS1.com, LS2.com, CamaroZ28.com.

FYI getting the hood painted and blended with the front of your car's paint could be in the neighborhood of $1000, probably more in Cali.

ebay ones are junk, and the reason the ones form slp and the dealer are so expensive is because they are made of steel. now, if you want to lose some extra weight and dont mind the hood being a little flimsy you will also save alot of money. go to RK sports website, they have them pretty cheap.

pretty sure the ones that came stock may not be steel but are definetly some type of metal.

Where do you get your info from? No steel on SS hoods. Not even the scoop grille! Now the Z28 is another story.

Damn bro, wish you didn't live across the country. I would sell you mine, it's already Pewter Metallic. Shipping this thing would be a bitch though.

I would honestly save the cash and get the slp or factory hood, you know it will fit better and more than likely be better built.

sorry guys, i heard someone say once that it was better to go with aftermarket than the factory hood because you'd save alot of weight because the factory one is steel like the z28 hood. but i geuss not. anyways, if the ss hood is fiberglass whats the deal with hood shocks, do the ss models not have them? or are just lower power?
