4th gear problems

I am looking at buying a camaro and it is stuck in fourth gear and i have never heard of that happening i was just wondering if that has happend to anyone and if so what was wrong with it THANKS

Broken slider keys in the 3/4 syncro, common problem. Search you'll find plenty. Gonna be pulling the trans..........
