It lives off it's name, simple as that. They're not all poor performers, but the 80 series crossflow for our cars do suck.

My buddy's WS6 and my brother's WS6 each had a Flowmaster on it when they bought them. They do sound good, and that is another reason for their popularity besides the name. Flowmasters are to mufflers like Holley was to carbs in the 60's. The first thing guys would do was junk their factory carb and "put a Holley on it." Did they run better? In many cases, not.

They sound great, but like was said a bit ago. There are some of the mufflers that are just not the best flowing thing out there. Yeah, they probably flow better than a stocker, but if you are going to upgrade do it right!

Yeah, I have one. It was the only mod on my car when I bought it. Not even !CAGS. Anyway, I love the sound, and besides, with a cutout I dont have to worry about flow issues.

The 40 series single in/single out is the best way to go. If I didnt like my factory catback so much with my shorties/ORY thats what would be on it

i picked up 32 rwhp swiching to a TSP Rumbler and removing my cats.

i think the reason why people keep buying them for f-bodies is because they do sound good, and they work well for OTHER cars.

I have flowmasters on my silver WS6 when I bought it. Its the first thing thats going to be takin off the car when I start modding it. Put some Borla or Corsa on there instead.

well, as stated above the 80 series replacement mufflers for our cars do suck, but the 1-chamber mufflers used for the TD setups flow/sound great. 2 totally different setups and 2 totally different results.

yea my car had the flowmaster 80series on it also when i bought the car, i belive the baffles inside the muffler r done, i can hear clunks when i slow down or hit bumps. but i have to buy another 80 series cuz its cheap, sounds 10x better then stock. once i mod mycar right, i'm switching to a loudmouth 2 dual dual set up with !cats and mid length pacesetters

My LT1 had a Flowmaster on it when I bought it. I junked it.

I had a Flowmaster on my SS for a little while due to a deal that was impossible to pass up, and it sounded good until I went LT/ORY and then it had crazy rasp, so now I'm back to a stock catback.
